Leave it to our good friends, Answers in Genesis. They've done it again...

Many of the characters of Greek mythology are based on real historical figures who were raised up to godlike status. One example here is #8220;Hellen,#8221; the alleged mythological patriarch and god of the Aeolians (or Elisians). Hellen (#7965;#955;#955;#951;#957;) is likely a variant of Elishah.3 Even in other cultures, ancestors were often deified; for example, in Germanic and Norse mythologies there is Tiras (Tyras, Tiwaz, Tyr), who was the king of the gods and also happens to be one of Noah#8217;s grandsons (Genesis 10:2).

So it makes sense that Cronus/Kronos (#922;#961;#972;#957;#959;#962;), a variant of Cethimas/Kittem, could have been raised up to godlike status. Considering that Noah and his early descendants were living such long lives, it should be obvious why many of these ancestors were raised up to be #8220;god-like.#8221; Not only did they live long lives, but they were obviously the oldest people around and would seem to be the people (gods, demigods) that started civilization. Noah would have been roughly 500 years older than anyone else and his sons approximately 100 years older. We know this was because of the Flood, but the true message would quickly be changed to fit the pagan ideas. Thus it is interesting that this pagan festival was likely born as a result of a suppressed view of a biblical character.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

The Western European "Santa," of course, is simply Satan, with the letters rearranged. And the Yule or Christmas Tree is actually the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, from which Satan/Santa tempted Eve to take and share a gift (which is why the day before Christmas is called Christmas "Eve"). Thus, all the Stone Age pagan traditions came from later Bronze Age fables, so there.

See, like AiG's Bodie Hodge, anyone can just make up shit, like I just did. This crap from AiG reminds me of Dr. Gene Scott's weird genealogies: Building an argument from a long string of extremely weak links, often based upon imagined similarities between words or proper names. No reputable linguists or other scholars take this sort of bullshit methodology seriously.

Those peckerheads are reachin' it this time, aren't they?!

The fact is that the pagan celebration, in one form or another and in one place or another, goes back to the earliest days of sun worship; thousands of years before a smattering of Middle Eastern barbarians ever got drunk and hallucinated a mythical oaf named Adam and his rib-bone squeeze. It is still practiced today in various places and is thought, along with animism, to be the earliest form of religious delusion.

I love Christian apologetics.

Same choir, new hymn, new hymn same as the old hymn.
As we've been warning you: don't get caught in the millions-of-years web!

Oxford University paleobiologist Martin Brasier has announced the discovery of the world's oldest spider web, encased in a piece of amber. While Brasier claims the webbing is some 140 million years old, he notes, “You can match the details of the spider's web with the spider's web in my garden.”

The amber was found on a British shoreline two years ago by someone the AP describes as an “amateur fossil-hunter.” The report notes that “the minuscule strands show that spiders had been spinning circle-shaped webs well into prehistory.” Preserved along with the strands were bits of fossilized vegetable matter and bits of burnt sap.

While this certainly is a fascinating little discovery, the dating of the amber is 100 percent interpretation, wholly based on presuppositions about the past. Within the long-ages/evolutionary worldview, this find would reveal that spider webs of today apparently haven't changed from spider webs of the time of dinosaurs—no evolution there! But what this find really tells us (or reminds us, actually) is that spiders have always been spiders, ever since creation—about 6,000 years ago.

I find it amusing they're quick to re-adapt old myths into their own mythology, much like the Romans and Greeks did, and fail to consider the irony that it works both ways. What is to say that Elisha wasn't a variation of Hellen, rather than the opposite? Much like the birth of Jesus is awfully similar to Mithra's...

Sad, really.

Did you tell him that we like to swap presents, eat like starving Tasmainian devils, get drunk, act like fools, and finish off the Solstice holiday with a wet, sloppy session of hot & passionate intercourse with the main squeeze? And then call him an brain-spavined idjit for even having to ask the question?

I should have, but I don't have your eloquence...
I'll be saving this bit though, for copy-and-paste until next time.

oh,oh,oh...
Finally. AIG has now confirms that the Merovingian belief system is the true religion. Long live the Nephilim.

Long live the serpent-Jesus, who sought to lead the slaves of Yaweh into the Light of the Knowledge.

The arms of Jesus are the Cross of Lorraine,
Both the blood in the artery and the blood in the vein,
Both the source of grace and the clear fountaine;
The arms of Satan are the Cross of Lorraine,
And the same artery and the same vein,
And the same blood and the troubled fountaine.

The Circus of Carnage... because you should be able to deal with politicians like you do pissant noobs.
